Land Cut
Laguna Madre
Popular fishing spot in the Laguna Madre system for trout and Redfish. Many anglers love the area with its plentiful fish along the West side of the channel.
The land Cut was constructed in 1962 by the U.S Army Corps of Engineers which created a waterway for marine traffic between the upper & lower Laguna Madre.
Fish seem to bottleneck in this area as they migrate between the upper & lower Laguna Madre. Angler's fish the West shoreline and drop off for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Black Drum and Flounder.
